I haven't watched the video yet, but everything you describe I'm already doing today.

I checked the "Notify me" checkbox below to receive an e-mail of updates. If you published your e-mail or provided a checkbox to make this comment private, the privacy feature would be avaiable as well.

I have the Docs and Calendar gadgets enabled so recently used docs and todays calendar show up in my gmail sidebar. I don't want them inline, my inbox is cluttered enough as is.

I would love for all of my labels to be synchronized and to be able to view all content By Type (current way, docs, emails, etc all separate) and By Label (integrated like waves perhaps?).

I'll have to watch the Wave video. I read the blog and it seems like a nice evolution of existing products & services, but nothing in the original blog post sounded as revolutionary as what I've heard people post.

It all sounds a bit like Gnome 3's zeitgeist: an application agnostic timeline. Very handy, but revolutionary? We'll see. ;-)

I bet that before this time next year, Google will rebuild GMail, GTalk, Blogger and Google Reader on Googel Wave base. GMail users will just need to press a button to have all their email presented in a new Wave interface. They might even go as far as use it in Google News, Picasa, Google Docs and Calendar. Then GMail would start sensing which of your contacts have Wave capability (via the XMPP protocol, just like they sence if they have chat capability) and if they do, it would start sending Waves instead of email messages.

Google does not need to convince anyone, they can create a critical mass for Wave adoption just by converting all GMail users.
