Mindblogging the world to itself
Because something mangled my signature along the way (I suspect it was GMail), I also post it here along with a GPG signed text file:I hereby nominate myself for the position of Debian Project Leader in the DPL elections of 2007.
Go Aigarius! :)

can you please state what you do for debian? never heard your name
Foo: not much, really. I maintain a few packages (poorly) and participate in Latvian translation efforts. The things that I am most proud of lie a bit outside Debian, like my involvement in the effort against software patents in EU and my leadership of Latvian free software society.I am not a great programmer, my strength is in intercommunication - "translating" between people that are so deep in their respective areas that they do not understand each other any more. An example would be the usual language divide between programmers and managers. However with more advanced programmers (like the great people of Debian) there is also a great language divide between programmers working in different areas in different styles.Debian is great at solving technical issues, it needs no DPL for that. The social things are the ones that need resolution by the DPL. I happen to think that I have good experience in that.
Thanks for clarifying. Good luck with your application mate!
